Personal Server
Mysteries of the Unexplained is proud to announce that is now is running off of its own server. While this will offer faster load times, it will also mean that the site will be down more often than it used to be simply because we must now figure out and run the server ourselves.
Antikythera Mechanism
January 1st, 2009 by MotU Overseer
While most believe that we have progressed in level of advancement in a linear fashion over time, there is evidence which contradicts this theory. Off ther coast of the Greek island Antikythera, divers in search of ship wrecks found an item that excaped history. The Antikythera mechanism is a small, metal device of a level of workmanship far exceeding that of the Greek people of the time it was dated to be from. It has workings similar to that of a mechanical pocket watch, but rather than merely the time, it provided the date, zodiac of the time, and the position of some celestial bodies. It ran on gears, which used the trianglular tooth design believed to have come into existence after the time of DaVinci. Because of this, it has baffled researchers and clash with conventional facts.
